GROUNDWORK ("we", "us") provides task execution services relating to China: remote research and checks performed from our desk, and on-location tasks — such as factory visits, property visits, store checks, errands and document collection, filming and field reports — performed in person by us or by a vetted local representative acting on our responsibility, as agreed with the client ("you"). You always deal with one point of contact.
By submitting a task through our website, email or WhatsApp, you agree to:
Quotes are provided in writing within 24 hours of submission and are valid for 7 days unless stated otherwise. Pricing is $129 per remote request (one 8-hour remote working day, deliverables within 2 business days) and $239 per on-site working day (billed from departure; travel time counts as work time). Cross-city or overnight tasks add transport and accommodation at actual cost. All expenses are itemized and supported by receipts. You approve the quote first, then pay via PayPal; work starts only after your approval. We do not handle cash payments or make payments on your behalf.
We deliver timestamped photos, video and written reports as evidence of execution. Reports reflect what we observed and did on-site. We do not fabricate, stage or reuse evidence. Reports are informational only and do not constitute legal, financial, investment or professional advice.
You are responsible for providing clear instructions, ensuring you have the right to instruct the requested activity (e.g., property access), and for any decisions you make based on our evidence and reports. We are not your agent or representative for legal purposes, and we cannot sign documents or make commitments on your behalf unless explicitly agreed in writing.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from a task is limited to the amount you paid for that task. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost profits or business opportunities.
Task details are kept confidential by default. We may sign an NDA on request. We never share client information with third parties except as required by law.
We reserve the right to refuse any task that is unlawful, unsafe, or contrary to our policies. We will not execute tasks involving illegal surveillance, theft, fraud, harassment, or any activity that could endanger people or property.
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any dispute shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation; unresolved disputes may be submitted to the competent courts of Guangzhou, China.
